Meet the Artist

Hi, I’m Bindi — the creator behind Sweet Illusionz.

Based in Melbourne, Australia, I’m a faux food artist with a passion for all things whimsical and wonderfully over the top.

Creativity has always been my happy place. Whether I’m working with clay, plaster, or acrylic paints, I find joy in bringing playful, nostalgic pieces to life. My artistic style is deeply influenced by two key parts of my story: a childhood filled with imagination, and 18 months spent living and travelling through Europe as a teenager. It was there that I fell in love with the opulence of Baroque and Rococo architecture, styles that now play a starring role in my work.

Add to that a lifelong love for Alice in Wonderland and you get Sweet Illusionz: a dreamy blend of faux confections, theatrical charm and magical detail that transports you into a world of decorative delight.
